Cari has been involved in women's fitness since 2008 when she started working for the women's gym where she had lost over 80 pounds as a member. She wanted to help other women find their own success. Working there, she fell in love with teaching classes like spin, step aerobics, and cross training, plus working one on one with women as a personal trainer. In 2017, she started her own mobile personal training business bringing the workouts right into her clients' homes. After being introduced to Kaia FIT, she knew that this special company was where she could make the biggest difference to the largest number of women. She has worked as a Weight Watchers leader coaching hundreds of people in CA and ID through their weight loss journeys. She holds a national certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine with a specialization in Weight Loss Nutrition, and is now a certified Kaia coach! In addition to her fitness industry experience, Cari has also worked in sales and recruiting for over 10 years, bringing a lot of experience in growing businesses and managing high-performing teams. Why Cari Likes Kaia: When I walked into Kaia FIT for the first time, the coach knew I was coming and greeted me by name. She was so welcoming and introduced me to several people in class. The women in the class were so full of energy and fun. They were encouraging each other and high-fiving all over the place, and it was like no other workout experience I had ever had. I saw women of all ages and sizes, working out at different levels but all still feeling like they were part of the same team. It was just so unique and positive, AND the workout kicked my butt! I knew that I couldn't go back to regular gym workouts. I need Kaia in my life to push me and encourage me and make exercise way more fun than I thought it could be!

Mindy received her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science with a Biomechanics emphasis, as well as her Master’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Boise State University. While at Boise State, Mindy was the team leader as a setter the Volleyball team and also served as a youth volleyball coach in the Treasure Valley. Her passion for health and wellness led her to Washington, D.C., where she received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from The George Washington University. Her Physical Therapy education has grown her passion for helping people with movement dysfunction and educating people on the importance of making healthy lifestyle choices. Why Mindy Likes Kaia: “Kaia FIT is a great program for women of all fitness levels! I love the different levels of Kaia exercises so that whether you are a beginner or an elite level athlete, there is a way to challenge yourself to become the best “you”. I also love the idea of working out as a group of women. We will inspire each other each day as we strive to get fit and healthy, while having a lot of FUN! Finally, I love that every Kaia session is a little bit different. It keeps your body guessing and your mind free from getting bored- variety is the spice of life! I am so excited to be a part of the Kaia team and leading the women of Boise towards becoming Kaia strong!”

Coralee has been involved in many types of fitness activities for over 20 years. She grew up in the Seattle-area showing horses. She first joined a gym at 18 after her mom died of cancer at a young age and it changed her life and how she looks at health and fitness. She always loves to try something new, whether or not it is a new class at a gym or a physical challenge. Some of her past favorites were competing in a Sprint Triathlon and Half Marathon. For the past 3 years, she has taken on a new challenge of working as a Fitness Instructor teaching various classes at multiple gyms and as a Kaia Coach. She is also a certified Spinning Instructor. What really keeps her busy is a full-time job as a wife and mother to three children. (13, 11, & 5). She enjoys, Hiking, Mt. Biking, Camping, Snowboarding and enjoying wine with friends. Why Coralee Likes Kaia: “I love being a Kaia coach because I love seeing the girls master new skills and push their bodies farther than they ever imagined they could go! The sense of pride and and accomplishment on their faces after doing that first push-up, box jump or handstand kick-up is what makes me love my job! It is also what helps me get up at 3:50 am to coach the early classes! I love the sense of community with the Kaia girls. I also love the fun workouts!! Jenn Gleason is a self-proclaimed "gym rat." While studying sports journalism at The University of Florida, Jenn logged many hours in the gym. The next ten years were spent in Atlanta, GA as a television sports producer at Fox Sports and Comcast Sports while balancing involvement at the gym and on tennis, volleyball, and softball teams. After having a baby (sweet Calvin) in 2010, Jenn decided to take her workouts to the next level... she joined Kaia FIT in 2013. After one BRIK session, she was hooked. Over the next year, she studied to get certified as a personal trainer and completed KAIA Certification. She's passionate about sports and exercise. Why Jenn Likes Kaia: "The girls are the best part of Kaia FIT... an opportunity to meet people you will be friends with for life. Plus, the workouts are innovative, exciting, and challenging while targeting women of all ages, shapes, and sizes. I love that there is accountability for both exercising and nutrition. It is the perfect balance for anyone looking to be in shape!"

Alexa has been an athlete her whole life! At the young age of 5 she started playing soccer (along with trials of many other sports such as baseball, swimming, basketball, and tennis) soccer was the only one that stuck! She played at the collegiate level in Rhode Island and continues to play in inter-mural leagues here in Boise. Along with being an athlete Alexa is a Registered Dietitian and Chef. After taking her first Nutrition class in college, Alexa fell in love with the science of Food and Nutrition. When she would apply the things that she was learning in class to her everyday life, it would completely change how she performed on the soccer field, and ever since her passions for food, nutrition, health, and fitness grew immensely and still continue to grow! When Alexa is not working she is trying to get outside as much as she possibly can! She loves to hike, bike (mountain and road), backpack, ski, and paddle board! Why Alexa Likes Kaia: I LOVE Kaia FIT! It is an incredible program that focuses on YOU. We meet you where you are at, help you set goals, crush them, while having fun along the way!! What made me fall in love with Kaia FIT, was the incredible Nutrition component involved in the program! It’s simple and it’s effective! The workouts are fun and are different every single day! I love the fact that women of all fitness levels can come together and all get an amazing workout that fits them personally.

Kerry is a fitness enthusiast and lover of educating people on the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Kerry received her Bachelors of Art from the University of Wyoming in Elementary Education with a Minor in Creative Arts. Before moving to Boise in 2000, Kerry was a Park Ranger for Grand Teton National Park in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. It was here that she truly embraced her love for the great outdoors and healthy lifestyle. When she moved to Boise in 2000, she started working at the YMCA in the Health and Fitness Department where she did personal training, created a fitness program for children, taught winter conditioning classes, marathon training classes, TRX, and Indoor Cycling. After 14 years with the YMCA, Kerry was itching for a change. She was fortunate to stumble upon Kaia FIT one day, and it was the start of a life changing experience. Why Kerry Likes Kaia: “It was here that I found my true home. I felt connected with the Kaia girls right away and the philosophy of Kaia. I knew right away that this is where I wanted to be a coach and continue to inspire, encourage, and push the girls to their true potential.“  In my free time I love to spend time with my amazing husband, my two awesome children, trail runs in the foothill, and spend time in the outdoors.”

Naomi recently graduated with a degree in Psychology from Boise State University. Naomi grew up as a Military Brat - and loved trying new sports. Naomi is currently pursuing a certificate as a Holistic Health Coach as well as a Master's degree in Health Sciences. Why Naomi Likes Kaia: "I had lived in Boise for a little over a year when I discovered Kaia FIT. I initially joined Kaia FIT because I didn't like the way I felt in my skin. I had always enjoyed group fitness classes because I push myself harder than I do on my own. Kaia FIT does more than just push me to work harder during my workout, it pushes me to become a better person. Kaia FIT led me to change my career path in Health Sciences. What makes Kaia so unique for me is the accountability I find with both my fellow coaches and Kaia Girls. I love encouraging other women to follow our amazing nutrition program - slowly integrating whole foods to create a sustainable healthy lifestyle. I look forward to continuing to grow as a coach as well as a Kaia Girl!"

Abby started playing sports at the age of 9 due to being overweight at a very young age. She believed that through playing sports she would live a healthier life. In addition, she often volunteered to stay active through community service. Abby was active in basketball and volleyball, as well as weight training in high school. Health, fitness and volunteering changed her life by becoming a healthier individual. Abby is certified as a personal trainer with NCSF (National Council of Strength and Training) and trained at Gold’s Gym. In addition to coaching at Kaia Fit, Abby also works from home with the State of Idaho as a social worker. Abby is passionate about her family and truly getting to know each and every “Kaia Girl”, as well as having an active interest in fitness and nutrition. Why Abby likes Kaia: I believe that YOU—the women who come to our program—is what makes Kaia Fit Boise what it is. I absolutely love the fact that it focuses on each individual’s strengths and weaknesses, and later converts those weakness into strengths. We grow as a team, not as individuals. We praise, motivate, hug, cry (happy tears of course) and we smile at each other in friendship. Not to mention, the Nutrition component of Kaia Fit is beyond an added bonus to our program. Kaia Fit workouts are designed by amazing women leaders for women at any age level with different levels of fitness. Last but not least, all of our coaches work as a team. I absolutely love each and every one of my Kaia sisters! I am blessed to be a part of the Kaia Fit Boise Team and I love empowering women to become stronger individuals. Tina started running on her high school track team, and picked up the pace about 2009. One race led to another and somewhere along the line, she started liking it. Tina joined Kaia in 2013 and was an inspiration to all Kaia Girls and soon became the running coach for the I Kan Run (IKR) team. Why Tina Likes Kaia: “I was looking to take a rut work out regime into something fun, and I found so much more than that! The girls, the energy, the love, the changes, the victories and even the setbacks have made for such a fun, enriching and soul nurturing journey…... I couldn’t thank Kaia, or my girls (IKR or not) enough! I was the classic ‘I don’t run’ er. I threw myself into coaching and encouraging other ladies to get moving (run, walk, …. It doesn’t matter! Just keep going, going, going!), with a passion unmatched. I can’t wait to share this new journey, and maybe an added challenge with you!”

Christina was a collegiate athlete for 4 years at Boise State University. Her degree is in health promotion and she is very passionate about helping others reach their goals and living a healthy lifestyle. Christina has participated in The Leukemia Lymphoma Societies Team in Training Program. She has finished 8 full marathons in San Diego, San Francisco, Walt Disney World, Chicago and many other cities across the country. Christina created an event called Share the Fight that raised over $80,000 for cancer research. She has also served as the Fundraising Captain for 5 years with Team in Training. Christina's full time job is running her productive real estate team. She is very busy and feels strongly that exercise and nutrition keeps her energy level high throughout the day. Why Christina Likes Kaia: "I love Kaia FIT because it aligns with my views on holistic health. I believe in body confusion and having fun during exercise. Kaia FIT helps women become strong and lean and they get to play at the same time! It also helps women connect with other women. I have seen the program change many lives including my mom's. I am looking forward to making a change in my life too through this amazing program. Kaia FIT teaches women to be healthy, it's not a quick fix program, it's sustainable and is something we can do for the rest of our lives. We are so grateful to have Kaia FIT now in Boise!"

Vicki has been involved in sports her entire life participating in team sports of swimming, water polo, field hockey, basketball, outrigger canoe racing, beach volleyball, and skiing. The most recent team sports include the I Kan Run and I kan Tri teams at the Fallbrook CA Kaia FIT She has coached and taught swimming for many years including the I Kan Tri team in Fallbrook the past two seasons. Vicki is a passionate advocate for sports, fitness and nutrition. Why Vicki Likes Kaia: “I love being part of the Kaia FIT family. I started the beginning of 2012 and have witnessed many women improving their health and well-being. Everyone I know in the Fallbrook program has a story to tell of how their life has changed tremendously! As my coach, Cynthia Warren says, “The numbers don’t lie!!” My numbers are a weight loss of 25 lbs in the first few months and another 8 lbs since then with more inches lost with the 8 lbs than the first 25! A better number of measurement is my cholesterol going from 259 before Kaia FIT to 221 a few months later and to 197 just recently…WITH NO DRUGS!! I am 58 years old and I’m happier and healthier than I can remember!!! I love team sports, as you may have noticed above, and Kaia FIT is set up like a “team sport” with the camaraderie amongst all the girls!! I love team Kaia!!!! I am super excited to work with incredible ladies, including my wonderful daughter Christina, and our awesome coaches!”

Kaia Tri is a ten-week triathlon training program with workouts three times a week, which is an optional extra during our spring and summer CORE sessions. We swim, bike, and run, with some cross-training classes too. By being able to set a personal pace, our triathlon training program is suited to beginners tackling their first race and intermediate athletes looking to improve their finish time.

Our mock triathlons run several times to familiarize women with the course route. We finish the season with a Triathlon Training Camp which includes paddle boarding and power workouts. The next day is our exhilarating and fun Triathlon race day for all Kaia Tri women to enjoy working out in a beautiful location. Friends are welcome too!

SANDBAG

Kaia Sandbag combines traditional fitness with unconventional training methods. With sandbags, the weight shifts and moves in an unpredictable fashion. This piece of equipment is integrated into our conditioning & strength building workouts to simultaneously develop strength, power, endurance, mobility, and balance – with an additional emphasis on developing overall core strength and stability.

New to sandbag training? No problem! Beginners are always welcome.

TRX SUSPENSION 

TRX® Suspension Training® body-weight exercise simultaneously develops strength, power, endurance, mobility, durability, balance, flexibility, and core stability. Whether you’re younger or older, out of shape or a pro athlete, injured or at the top of your game, TRX Suspension Training meets you where you are and takes you where you want to go. TRX Suspension Training leverages gravity and the user’s body weight to enable hundreds of exercises that can be instantly scaled for any user to reach any fitness or training goal. The easily-scalable nature of TRX Suspension Training makes it a practical solution wherever you are on the fitness continuum.

Need a little extra boost to keep your body guessing? Our TRX/Cardio class is an excellent complement to any Kaia FIT session. TRX workouts, which can be used by anyone at any level, builds true functional strength and improves flexibility, balance and core stability all at once. Mixed with cardio, the classes give every member the perfect balance of challenge and success.

CROSS-TRAINING

Our trademark Kaia Cross-Training™ classes are a unique mix of cardio, functional movement, and both weighted and non-weighted exercises.

Cross-Training benefits:

Each day brings a new workout. We have an elite group of advanced coaches who infuse each workout with their own flair and focus, meaning you’re never going to repeat a workout, avoid burn-out, and fitness plateaus.

Keeping the body guessing is key to sculpting lean muscle mass. We also have a 3-part modification foundation: Balance (non-impact); Strength (mid-impact) and Kaia (high impact). Each exercise has its own progression so that everyone can feel successful.

BARRE

Our barre-based class is a unique combination of postures inspired by ballet, yoga, Pilates and Kaia. Using the barre as a prop to balance, you’ll complete a series of isometric holds combined with high reps of small range movements to elongate and tone your major muscle groups.

In addition to the barre, classes incorporate pilates balls, yoga blocks, and/or resistance bands for increased endurance, challenge and focus. Following each set of holds, you’ll rest and recovery with a short series of stretches and poses to increase flexibility prior to advancing.
Kaia Barre is a low-impact class that perfectly complements our program offerings. Meet us at the barre and try your first class for free!

DANCE 

Our dance fitness class is rooted in traditional dance. We use those foundational moves and offer a class that is easy enough for beginners yet challenging enough for the more seasoned dancer. The simplicity of the routines allows you to keep moving with ease. Although this is a workout, it feels more like a dance party with your girlfriends.

RUNNING 

Improve your speed, skill, endurance, stamina, and strength with our Kaia running program. The program works on developing running skills that can increase speed, endurance, and overall fitness. The program is designed for you to run at your pace and and help you see improvements every step of the way.

The Kaia training is a simple, progressive program designed for women of all ages and all fitness levels. Whether you are a walker, jogger, or runner, you will be able to join this program and move at your own pace. Research has shown that even 20 to 30 minutes of running (two to three times per week) is enough to help you lose or maintain weight and improve many other important health markers, i.e. your cholesterol, blood pressure and insulin response.

Don’t be intimidated by the Kaia Run program name, each class will have walkers, joggers and runners. Keep in mind that the first mile is the hardest mile you will ever run. Once you get off the starting block, things only get easier. All you have to do is be patient and disciplined in your training, and that is where Kaia

POWER YOGA

Kaia Yoga combines mind and body with a power yoga and core-strengthening weekly workout with Pilates-style techniques. We focus on balance, strength, and cardiovascular fitness through stretching, strength training and dynamic movement to improve overall fitness levels.

By creating long, lean muscles, Yoga promotes improved coordination, greater flexibility and a fuller range of motion, with a strong body that’s less prone to injury. Yoga keeps the mind centered and reduces stress through positive thoughts and a sense of mindfulness, which also inspires mental strength and confidence.

Yin Yoga, or restorative yoga, is a quiet contemplative practice. It targets the deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues – ligaments, joints, bones, and the deep fascia networks of the body. Poses are held for 1 minute or more and transitions between poses are gentle and slow. This class is an excellent compliment to our other classes, provides dedicated stretching, and is known to reduce stress and anxiety.

Our BRIK Bootcamp sessions are offered three times a year and are designed to help you reach your health and fitness potential, and you’re welcome to start anytime!
