In my quest for the perfect salad dressing… I bring you “buffalo ranch dressing”.. In my opinion no other salad dressing is needed. If you are a die hard ranch dressing fan- you will love this dressing! You can use it on salads, to dip veggies or roasted potatoes/baked fries in, or drizzle on a vegan taco. Anything you would dip into ranch you can use this dressing instead. It is so good I made a half gallon the other day and it is half gone already.
If you don’t like spicy- leave out the hot sauce, if you like just a little spice just use the Franks red hot sauce and not the Tobasco sauce.
1 cup soaked and drained cashews (soak overnight for creamiest texture)
3/4 cup water
1.5 tbsp white vinegar or white balsamic vinegar
1/2 tsp agave nectar
3/4 tsp pink sea salt
1/2 tsp of onion power, garlic powder, dried parsley
1/4 tsp of pepper
2 tbsp of Franks Red Hot sauce
Blend all of the above until smooth. Taste, if it is spicy enough then you are done but for an added kick add in a few shakes of Tobasco- this gives it an extra spice and vinegary punch. Blend again. Enjoy over salad or as a dip for whatever strikes your fancy.
