Next week is detox week for this session of Brik. Are you ready for it? Are you confused by detox week? Don’t know what to do? Don’t think you could incorporate it into your busy week? I am here to help you! I have posted many recipes over the last year that will help you with detox week. I am going to repost those links in this post so you have them all together in one place.
The easiest way to truly detox is to go high raw and plant based for the week. It’s just one week, you can do it! You can do anything for 1 week. So what would it look like? Here is what high raw looks like for me:
Breakfast: 32 ounces of green smoothie. You can add in some chia seeds if you work a very active job- they will release energy and keep you full longer.
Snack: fresh fruit or fresh veggies, and a wheatgrass shot
Lunch: Salad- a big beautiful salad. You could use my buffalo ranch dressing recipe and some mashed avocado for some added fat. A sprinkle of sunflower seeds to would be good.
Snack: Another wheatgrass shot some carrot sticks, an apple with almond butter
Dinner: Always start with a salad or even just a plate of cut up veggies and hummus as a dip or some of my buffalo ranch dressing . Then you can have a Buddha bowl, lentil tacos, stir fry, or soup.
Alternatively you could also have another green smoothie for lunch, save your big salad for dinner and top it with beans, quinoa, or tofu.

Finally, I mentioned it above but it should be mentioned again- wheatgrass shots. I live on these shots and feel so good. Tons of energy, cravings at bay, hunger controlled. They are easy to make and have handy anytime of the day. Days that you are super busy- put a few of these into a little cooler and you have fuel ready to go! The key is to make sure you are not starving yourself. If you stomach is rumbling all the time then you will give in and eat whatever is at hand. So make sure you have plenty of fruits and veggies available, the wheatgrass shots, and green smoothies. Eating plant based for a week is a wonderful and easy way to detox.
