Maureen O 'Brien
Maureen is currently working on her bachelor’s degree in Healthy Lifestyles Coaching from the College of Health Solutions at Arizona State University. She has worked in the healthcare field for 4 years as a chiropractic assistant and as a head coach here at Kaia FIT Fallbrook. Maureen is a very active mother and has incorporated fitness and health into her family’s life. She has studied yoga for the past 20 years and her passion is food for health. Why Kaia FIT? I was a very active youngster, growing up in the country, spending most of my youth outdoors, but never was interested in ANY team sports, and the thought of running…forget it. After having my son, I found less and less time for exercise activities, and noticed my clothes getting tighter and tighter. Once my son started kindergarten, I knew it was time to get active and get fit so that I could keep up with the outgoing little boy he had become, but how? A few of my girlfriends had tried this program called Kaia FIT, so I did a 5-week session to see what it was all about. Kaia was like nothing I had ever tried before. Through functional training, muscle confusion and a variety of workouts, along with nutritional guidance to produce whole body wellness, Kaia FIT has pushed me through my physical weaknesses and I continue to grow stronger physically AND mentally every day! The women here are an amazing team and we empower each other always! I’ve gone from being an inactive young mother to working out regularly at 5AM, completing a 15k, a triathlon, a 200-mile Ragnar relay, and a Spartan race all in the last 2 years. The most important thing that Kaia has taught me is that anything is possible.
