Kelsey Oseto

Coach

Kelsey was born in Sacramento, Ca and raised in the Roseville area. Right after high school she married a US Marine and moved to several different duty stations between 2004-2011. Kelsey has been active her entire life played many sports like basketball and softball in grade school but her true passion was always gymnastics and dance. She started gymnastics at the age of 7 and ended as a level 9 gymnast spending close to 25 hours a week in the gym. After gymnastics she danced on her high school dance team for four years. During her family’s time in the military Kelsey found Zumba and fell in love because it brought her back to her passion for dancing she continued to take it when she moved to Woodland and was inspired by her instructor to get certified. In September 2012 Kelsey got her TRX credentials and then became one of the first certified TRX FORCE trainers in the United States. TRX is her main focus and what she loves teaching the best. Kelsey enjoys spending any off time with her two little girls and husband, shopping or hanging from a TRX. Kelsey also owns a cake business which keeps her busy. Kelsey is also one of our Kaia and FLOW coaches!

Kori Ramirez

Coach

I became a Kaia Girl in 2010. Years of team sports and year round conditioning had come to an end and I was lost and left wandering aimlessly around the gym. After just one Kaia workout I was hooked! My love for Kaia evolved into me becoming at KAT girl and then a Coach and Kaia Manager in 2013. I ended an intense graduate program and started my career in a town without a Kaia (can you imagine?!). I was Kaia-less for over a year and fell off the Kaia lifestyle bandwagon to say the least! Kaia fills a void in me that is hard to describe in words. This is because Kaia is more than a workout regime. Kaia effects your life physically, mentally, socially and even spiritually. Kaia makes woman feel empowered, united, positive and resilient and these characteristics will make their appearances inside and outside of the gym, with your partners, family, friendships and even your work. Kaia also helps maintain and grow self-worth while continuously achieving things we once thought were not attainable. My favorite experiences coaching Kaia include witnessing numerous women cross the finish line on the dreaded “timed mile”. I also remember having a woman pick up a handbag that weighed the same amount that she had lost and the look on her face was priceless.

In the rare moments not spent at Kaia: I keep very busy as a Speech Pathologist. I love to spend free time with my ‘team mate’ Ryan, my family and our pooch Kota. In the summer, you will find me at the lake camping and water skiing! I also love to garden and feel happiest when the ocean is near!

Favorite Kaia friendly food: Just one!? Loaded salads and soups are my favorite and also my saving grace. :-)

Rare talent: I’m pretty good at eating! (Secret)- also played rugby in college.

In her free time Mallory enjoys spending time with her family and dog Kaya, hiking, lifting, cooking and gardening.

Amanda Casias

Coach

Amanda was born in Watsonville, CA into a family of athletes. At the age of 8, she was quite the bowler with the accomplishment of becoming one of the top 10 youth bowlers on the national level. Amanda and her family moved to Woodland when she was 9 years old where she then became involved in baseball/softball and volleyball. She played both sports throughout grade school continuing to junior college. Amanda has been a coach of group sports and continues to play volleyball with friends in the local city league. In 2009, Amanda married her husband Kenny Casias, a Woodland native. They have two children, Ava and Eli. She has worked for Woodland Healthcare going on 12 years and is currently going to school to further her education and to pursue a career in the medial field. With Amanda’s busy schedule, she found it difficult to make time for physical activity. She started as a Kaia girl in May 2017 and was hooked after her first day. Kaia has become a part of who she is and has developed a new found passion for health and wellness. In Amanda’s spare time, she loves to snowboard, shop, serve at church, and go on bike rides with her family. She is excited to be a part of the Kaia family and is looking forward to helping other Kaia girls on their journey and getting to know them.

Courtney Robinson

Coach

Courtney Robinson was born and raised in Woodland, CA. She has always lived an active lifestyle playing sports in school, being on a traveling volleyball team, snowboarding on family trips in Tahoe(even on her wedding day), and wakeboarding/wake surfing on her Dads boat. As she got older she began to have a passion for health and fitness by taking care of her body. She enjoyed working out and training for half marathons in her spare time while attending Sac State and earning her BA in child development. Courtney has always had a love for teaching and has been a substitute teacher while also being a stay at home Mommy. She is happily married and has two children, Scarlett 4yrs old and Sawyer 8mo old.  It was when she coached a Varsity girls volleyball team in 2016 that made her realize she wanted to pursue something more in the fitness field which led her to Kaia.  Her favorite part of coaching is seeing other women SHINE their own light by becoming the best versions of themselves and realizing what their bodies are capable of. She likes to help people learn about nutrition by sharing food tips and tricks to add into their daily lives. Meal prep is one of her favorite things to do. She believes it sets her up for success and a great week ahead by having food ready to grab and go. Courtney loves being a Mommy and says kids watch your every move so she takes pride in leading by example and living a healthy fit lifestyle. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to the snow, beach and San Francisco. Some of her favorites include pizza, wine has a sweet tooth. Courtney is grateful to be on this fitness journey with amazing strong Kaia girls by her side.

While she started teaching a variety of classes including kickboxing, step aerobics, core conditioning, and a ballet/barre class, she quickly found her love for practicing and teaching yoga. Holly completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2012 at Dharma Yoga in Austin, TX. She joined Kaia Fit Woodland in 2016. Outside of fitness, Holly is a doctor of physical therapy who treats a variety of patients as well as is faculty for multiple post-professional physical therapy programs in Northern California.

Cory Acosta

Coach

Fitness became a huge source of happiness as well as gaining personal and professional success in the industry in my 20s, prior to that, I had zero interest until Melika asked if id be interested in doing new member gym tours at Oasis Club and Spa. I have worked with her off and on ever since, I always return to her gyms. The energy is too good to stay away for long.

I was a PT for 10 years, a group X instructor for 8 and a figure competitor for 2, before I discovered yoga about 3 years ago. Yoga was prescribed by a holistic doctor in combination with other treatments for severe depression after leaving an abusive relationship.  Ashtanga Yoga, all 8 limbs, was a literal life saver for me. Since then, it has been the most beneficial modality I have added to my curriculum.

I am currently a barber in Sacramento, a mother of a first year UC Davis student, an avid motorcycle rider, a homesteader with no TV and a 500sq ft tiny house. I am an avid marksman as well as training in the compound and recurve bow shooting, On the complete flipside, I have been a seamstress since I was 13 and an obsessive crocheter and embroiderer.

I am a mother of three who has been going to Kaia since 2017. Kaia gave me all the tools for me to feel strong and healthy after not exercising since HS and having three kids.

When I am not taking advantage of all the Kaia activities or classes I enjoy reading and running.

I encourage anyone who wants to become stronger and healthier to come to Kaia and take advantage of this great gym for women ONLY!
