Kaia Fit Woodland

I became a Kaia Girl in 2010. Years of team sports and year round conditioning had come to an end and I was lost and left wandering aimlessly around the gym. After just one Kaia workout I was hooked! My love for Kaia evolved into me becoming at KAT girl and then a Coach and Kaia Manager in 2013. I ended an intense graduate program and started my career in a town without a Kaia (can you imagine?!). I was Kaia-less for over a year and fell off the Kaia lifestyle bandwagon to say the least! Kaia fills a void in me that is hard to describe in words. This is because Kaia is more than a workout regime. Kaia effects your life physically, mentally, socially and even spiritually. Kaia makes woman feel empowered, united, positive and resilient and these characteristics will make their appearances inside and outside of the gym, with your partners, family, friendships and even your work. Kaia also helps maintain and grow self-worth while continuously achieving things we once thought were not attainable. My favorite experiences coaching Kaia include witnessing numerous women cross the finish line on the dreaded “timed mile”. I also remember having a woman pick up a handbag that weighed the same amount that she had lost and the look on her face was priceless.

In the rare moments not spent at Kaia: I keep very busy as a Speech Pathologist. I love to spend free time with my ‘team mate’ Ryan, my family and our pooch Kota. In the summer, you will find me at the lake camping and water skiing! I also love to garden and feel happiest when the ocean is near!

Favorite Kaia friendly food: Just one!? Loaded salads and soups are my favorite and also my saving grace. :-)

Rare talent: I’m pretty good at eating! (Secret)- also played rugby in college.
